Our Tau 5–6 students have been given the opportunity to take part in Community Swimming again this year. This is a valuable learning experience, and like all areas of the curriculum, we strongly encourage students to participate.

If you have any concerns regarding your child’s participation, please contact their kaiako at school to discuss this further.

Tau 5–6 Community Swimming Programme

Location: Moana Nui a Kiwa Pool and Leisure Centre

Day:  Every Tuesday 

Time: 10am-2pm

Please ensure your child has the following:

Togs/ Towel
Hat 
Goggles (optional)

Te Manu Kai Miro has planned an educational haerenga to Stardome in support of our kaupapa for this term Ao Atea.  We will be doing this over 2 days 

Stardome

Location:  Stardome Observatory, 670 Manukau Road, Epsom, Auckland

Date: Wednesday 11 February 2026 (Tau 5-6), Thursday 12 February (Tau 7-8)

Time: 10am-2pm. 

Please ensure your child has the following:

Water Bottle 
Correct school uniform
Lunch and snacks

Kura will start back on Monday 2nd February however we will be finishing at 2pm instead of 3pm just for next week. 

Buses will leave an hour earlier so whanau please ensure that someone is at the bus stop for your tamariki an hour earlier than usual.

No kura on Friday the 6th Waitangi Day.

Looking forward to having our wonderful tamariki back next week.
