Te Kura Kaupapa Maori a rohe o Mangere
Tamariki from local Kohanga Reo are a priority. For all students who have little or no reo at all, an assessment on Te Reo will be carried out in consultation with the Tumuaki, Deputy Tumuaki and Whānau and a decision made from there.
When your child is enrolled, you will be asked to fill out an Enrolment Form as well as some other health forms within the Enrolment Pack. Details will be entered into the computer. It is important that you have at least two Emergency Contact addresses, telephone number and an email address. Every
Monday there is a powhiri for new students, however, should your tamaiti start on a Tuesday through to Friday, they will receive a whakatau from their respective wahanga.
If your tamaiti has reached the age of 4 years, they are eligible to participate in our 2 half days a week manaakitanga programme, after consultation with the Kaiarahi Te Reo Kaiako and the Tumuaki. Monday and Wednesday’s will be the 2 days for your tamaiti to attend kura from 1.30pm to 3.00pm.
We encourage parents to use this service so that tamariki pick up routines quickly and are more comfortable on their first official day. Parents are welcome to accompany their child to kura during this time.
